Smart Candle^® Charging Instructions

CONDITIONING

IMPORTANT: TO PROPERLY CONDITION YOUR SMART CANDLES, AN INITIAL CHARGE OF 20 HOURS IS REQUIRED BEFORE FIRST USE!!!

Before putting your Smart Candles into operation, be sure to charge your Smart Candles for 20 hours to complete the conditioning charge. After twenty hours of charging, remove your Smart Candles from the charging tray, then turn them on and allow them to DISCHARGE COMPLETELY. Your Smart Candles are now ready to be recharged.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS VOIDS ANY MANUFACTURER’S GUARANTEE

CHARGING

• Place your Smart Candles onto the charging tray. (If using the Platinum Series, firmly place the candles onto the charging tray receiving pins.)
• If using more than one charging tray, slide the charging trays firmly together. Both the Platinum and Evolution Series Power Adaptors are designed to charge up to four charging trays per power adaptor (up to 48 Smart Candles).
• Insert the supplied power adaptor into the charging tray and plug in.
• The charge indicator lights will illuminate RED when charging and GREEN when fully charged.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Smart Candle power adaptors are designed to charge up to 4 charging trays at a time (up to 48 Smart Candles) and come with an in-line reset button. Attempting to charge more than 48 candles will trip the reset. Use only the power adaptor provided to recharge your Smart Candles. Failure to do so voids the manufacturers guarantee. Please note that Evolution Series and Platinum Series have different power requirements and their power adaptors are NOT interchangeable.If indicator lights do not illuminate once plugged in, check the reset switch and reset, if tripped.If indicator lights still do not illuminate, check your power supply, double check your charging tray connections, power cord connection, and repeat the charging instructions above.

STORAGE

Storage is recommended if your Smart Candles are not going to be used for more than 4-weeks. To store your Smart Candles, fully charge and remove them from the charging tray, making sure the on/off switch is in the off position.

Smart Guard Key Instructions

The Smart Guard key is an optional device that can be purchased separately, and either temporarily disables, or totally disarms a Smart Guard Evolution Candle, without needing to place it back on a powered charging base.

To Temporarily Disable Smart Guard:

• Hold the candle at a slight angle, and press the key in the candle. Once the red LED on the candle lights up, immediately release the key from the candle.

Smart Guard is now deactivated until the candle is turned back on.

To Totally Disable Smart Guard

• Hold the candle at an angle, press and hold the key in the candle for 2 seconds.
• The red LED in the candle will light up and the candle will "beep" once. When complete, Smart Guard will be disabled. Please note that when the candle is turned on again after using this feature, Smart Guard WILL NOT ENGAGE. To reset the Smart Guard after using this feature, the candle will need to be set back on a powered charging tray.
